Who we are:  Gordon Randall Perry Design is an industrial design consultancy that has been designing products since 1975 for domestic and international companies that produce consumer, commercial, medical, laboratory, office, electronic, lighting, industrial, contract and architectural products. The design solutions we have provided to our clients are sold worldwide and are widely published in magazines, newspapers and design books as well as shown in movie and TV productions. Salability, innovation and quality of design for manufacture are hallmarks of the work created.  

What we do: Our focus is the design, development and engineering of products for our clients. And because a product's design must fit into the entire marketing mix in order to perform in a competitive world, we provide experienced leadership in branding. As an extension of these services our capabilities include creating memorable graphics and packaging as well as research, human factors engineering, production-ready virtual solids, mechanism development and functional pre-production prototypes. GRPD can implement turnkey development programs or focused product consultation with rapid turn-around. For a fresh take on the marketplace we also have experience in focused new product conception. In short we help our clients innovate and get their products to market.

Our staff: The firm has a creative focus generated by the well known principal designer and founder Gordon Perry who  has over 35 years of experience in the design and development of marketable products. Gordon, working with his multi-disciplined staff of designers, brings to clients individualized attention and integrity as well as innovative solutions.  

How we work: GRPD employs a design methodology that has been proven effective in the successful introduction of hundreds of different products. After marketing and engineering objectives are established and research is conducted we visualize, create and evaluate solutions utilizing strategic planning, branding objectives and production engineering criteria. Then we consider and recommend materials, manufacturing methodology and tooling approaches. Final implementation includes documentation, sourcing, working with vendors and supervising initial production.
